The AANZ Northern Region is running this Alpaca Basics educational event. You don't have to be a member of our association to come along - just be interested in knowing more about caring for these lovely animals.

This 'on farm' event will cover the practical aspects of owning and looking after your alpacas, and will include:

• Farm Management – Paddocks, holding pens, animal movement, pasture management, parasites and facial eczema.
• Animal Husbandry - Alpaca handling, nail trimming demonstration, injections, vacinations, drenches, feed.
• Animal Health - Body score, general wellness, health issues.
• Matings / Birthing – what to expect, when to get help, the next 6 months, weaning
• Questions and discussion
