SPONSORSHIPS
We are delighted to announce some exciting sponsorship packages for this year’s National Alpaca Show. The packages are priced to cater for all budgets. All details here - sponsorship packages.
Of particular interest to our members, is the fact that all sponsorship packages will include live-streaming that will be beamed to the world. This is a unique opportunity to promote your stud operations to an international and domestic audience. Promotion will be via social media both by the AANZ and members own social media contacts.
Do not miss out on this wonderful opportunity.
Sponsorship packages will be available, upon application, on a first in first served basis from 8pm Sunday 7th May.
Please email your request to [email protected]
Breed and Fleece Sponsorships are combined this year to improve the value of each sponsorship e.g. a junior female huacaya age group sponsor will sponsor both the huacaya breed and huacaya fleece sections of the show.
LIVE-STREAMING
Even if you are not a sponsor, your animals and (you) will be screened live to an international and domestic audience. All the more reason to make sure you attend this year’s National Show.
STUD MALE SERVICE AUCTION
National Council have now given approval for the Stud Male Auction. There is a wonderful lineup of nationally acclaimed stud males, many of whom have not been available for outside stud duties. This is your chance to access some prized stud services and who knows, you may get a bargain.
Ros Scott will be our auctioneer again this year and you can be assured that this will be a lively, humorous, and fun filled auction. Ros without doubt stole the show last year with her effervescence, personality and unexpected gimmicks that had the assembled exhibitors in fits of laughter.
Whilst not finalised, the following animals have been secured for this year’s auction.

Thank you to our sponsors for donating stud services for the National Show auction. Your support is very much appreciated.
CATTLE PENS
For those unfamiliar with penning at the Canterbury A & P show grounds, let me assure you that no animal will escape from these pens. The pens ideally hold up to four adults or up to six juniors. The cattle yards are only partially enclosed meaning that they are always well ventilated by fresh air. All pens are protected from the rain.
Power is available (a fee per pen) for those exhibitors wishing to install their own electric fans. The marquee is approximately 50 to 70 metres away from the cattle yards.
FOOD & REFRESHMENTS
The Kebab King will provide daily food and refreshments for exhibitors. They have wonderful food and have been a hit in previous years so please support them during your time in Christchurch.
OUT OF TOWN EXHIBITORS
Your working group is very aware of the extra time and cost of attending a show in Christchurch and we will do everything possible to ensure that your needs are met. Please advise of your travel plans and we will attempt to assist you on arrival. If you need accommodation, we may be able to find a billet within our membership.
INTER-ISLAND FERRIES
Despite our best efforts, we have been unsuccessful in obtaining special pricing from either ferry company. Given recent engineering and staffing issues, plus record bookings, the companies are simply not interested in discounting fares for our National Show.
We urge you all to make your reservations NOW and negotiate the best deal you can.
Thank you for your support!
