JUDGE – Natasha Clarke (Australia)
ENTRIES CLOSE – Sunday, September 7th 2025
Sponsorships range from $400 through to $3,000 + GST.
They are all attractively priced to ensure maximum uptake and
include sponsorships for membersjust sending fleeces only.
Broad Ribbons and trophies will be presented by the sponsors to successful exhibitors for this year’s show to add to the glamour and prestige of this National Show.
All pens are indoors in the main pavilion located just inside the entrance to the Northern A & P showgrounds. There is plenty of room to house your animals outside during the day.
Exhibitors with minimal entries can share pens. Just let us know if you wish to share when submitting your entries.
A limited number of pens will have access to power for electric fans. Due to the limited number of ceiling power cables, only members who uptake sponsorship will be able to avail themselves of this option.
All cables and fans must be certified (in last 12 months) by a certified electrician. This is an OSH requirement and all gear will be checked to ensure compliance.
The National Show dinner will be held on site at the Northern A & P Function Centre, just inside the main entrance to the Rangiora Showgrounds. A large selection of hot and cold dishes will be served including desserts, tea and coffee. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options will be available and will be charged to your AANZ account to avoid the necessity of providing Eftpos facilities or cash handling.
The highlight of the evening will be the stud male service auction. Your working group has secured stud services to some of New Zealand’s best stud males, many of whom have not been available for outside stud services.
There is a good representation of stud males from throughout New Zealand for both suri and huacaya and representing the different colour ranges.
There is also an auction of alpaca items and some non- alpaca items.
Successful bidders can have their purchases charged to their AANZ account.
Phone bidding will also be available.
Alpaca fibre is what sets us apart from other animal breeds. The National Fleece Show 2025 is the perfect event to showcase your special fleeces and to show off the advances our industry is making in producing beautiful, soft handling fleeces. A large fleece entry makes for a spectacular show display so please make every effort to send your fleeces, even if you are not attending in person.
There will be male and female age group championship ribbons as well as colour champion ribbons awarded to the successful exhibitors’ fleeces.
All fleeces will be micron tested by SGS from Timaru and judged by Natasha Clarke from Australia.
Arrangements will be made so that North Island fleeces can be transported to and from the show for a small fee.
